DO YOU WANT TO LEARN BUDDHIST PSYCHOLOGY ON-LINE?

The next intake for the Buddhist Psychology Distance Learning Programme in English will be 1st February 2025.

The course is offered in semesters. The first semester runs from 1st February to 31st July. Each semester is divided into six week "Classrooms" and each Classroom has three sections each presenting a theme including textual material and individual and group exercises. Additionally, there are webinars online which may address a particular theme, answer questions, do live demos of client work, or discuss any topical issue relevant to the course.

The orientation of the course derives from the ideas and theories of Dr David Brazier in his seminal work Zen Therapy (2001) and subsequent writings. Students can study for as many semesters as they choose, deepening their understanding and practice.

Contact with other students is encouraged and the course is run on a co-operative learning basis. Students see and discuss each other's work. They are not in competition.

The course is of interest to practising therapists wishing to integrate a Buddhist approach into their work, to Buddhist practitioners seeking a deeper understanding of the psychology, and to others with a general interest in the subject. The course offers both theoretical grounding and a wide range of supporting practical exercises.

If you are interested in joining the programme in February then please contact Jisshas at jisshas@googlegroups.com.

Those who register early can participate in seminars straightaway before joining the main programme in February. This enables meeting with staff and other students.
