Your history with Buddhism/Psychology & interest in this network:

I have been part of a couple of Sanghas in Vancouver over the past 20 years. I attended a retreat with Ken MacLeod on Saltspring Island a number of years ago...Tibetan tradition. As well, I have attended a number of weekend teachings in Vancouver Thanissaro Bhikkuh (Geoffrey Drgraff)...Theravaden tradition. I have been a member of weekly meditation/discussion groups, although not recently. I retired three and a half years ago and was a Speech Language Pathologist working for the Vancouver School Board. There I met Yaya de Andrade and we became friends over time. We were in a couple of sanghas in Vancouver together. It's through Yaya that I heard about this program. She has shared a couple of her talks with me as well as her enthusiasm for her connection with the Sangha offered by David Brazier. I am interested in deepening my thinking and experience with the Buddhist teachings. I am not a psychologist or psychotherapist but am intrigued by understanding more about Buddhism as I can through this lens.
