I have been practicing meditation and mindfulness consistently since early 2022. My meditation teacher is Kathy Cherry, a Zen practitioner and somatic therapist based in Brooklyn, NY, USA. I have participated in in-person retreats and breathwork workshops through her sangha, Dharma Punx NYC. Additionally, I am part of the Mud Lotus Sangha based in Columbus, Ohio, USA. My teachers at this sangha include two priests who were trained at the Great Vow Zen Monastery and are connected with the Zen Community of Oregon. Through Mud Lotus, I participate in meditation retreats, weekly group meditations, and dharma sharing and lectures. I am seriously considering applying for a Master's counseling program or a coaching program.
