Your history with Buddhism/Psychology & interest in this network:
I am interested in both Buddhist philosophy and ethics, having in the past studied Christian theology and spirituality, and 'continental philosophy' and ethics. I enjoyed a short distance learning course, ‘Introduction to Buddhist Psychology’, with the International Zen Therapy Institute’s Amida Academy, some years ago, which made me want to explore further.
I have undertaken a little training in counselling (10 weeks introduction to humanistic person-centred counselling) and in Existential Psychotherapy (1 Year ‘Foundation Course in Psychotherapy, Counselling and Coaching’, with The Existential Academy, completed in January 2022), during which I had a supervising therapist. I have also experienced Mindfulness-Based CBT and explored positive psychology.
